Black women are in a sense a double minority. They have 2 strikes against then, not only are they women but they are black as well. Women like Oprah, Michelle Obama, Aretha Franklin (considering the time she came to prominence) and others of that sort are respectable by all means . Beyonce is more polarizing and doesn't garner the level of respect these women do.
White men are most privileged in society and get things easiest (not saying they don't have to work hard). They may feel a bit 'Threatened' per se.
