I can see why they think it's white. It does look like white with a blue-ish hue.
It's most definitely black and blue tho. I ran all the tests in Photoshop w/ the brightness and selective color

@MimiLamb, put it in any photo editor you have access to and turn the brightness down and you'll see. And if you're good with photoshop, use selective color to try and enhance the white and you'll see that nothing happens because there's no white there and if you do it w/ the blue, the color will pop
