Asylum while being the best season without a single doubt, was too heavy for some people hence Ryan's decision to make AHS Lite and The Days of our Freaks.
It will all depend on how it's promoted. I mean Coven started with over double the viewers from Asylum, and it was mostly cause of it's great marketing IMO.
