It would have been 1000x times better if Skyler Samuels had played the role of Maggie Esmerelda. She gave a nice impression as Bonnie Lipton (only if it was just for 2-3 episodes).

Emma can only play bitchy roles it seems.

Who I don't want is Denis (his characters get annoying) and Emma (unless she's a mean girl).

Lily is the second-best actor in the series (behind Jessica) and Sister Mary Eunice is probably the best character in the series (followed by Fiona Goode and/or Sister Jude).

Whenever I read or say "Sister Jude", it always sounds like "Sistah Jude".

I think it's the way some of the characters pronounced it or something, because it's not like that with Sister Mary Eunice or any other fictious religious sister or nun.

Ok so I was googling cursed or haunted hotels, and now I really hope ASH/Hotel is based on the Cecil Hotel...which is probably one of the most iconic cursed hotels in America. To pull from the Cecil Hotel's history would be great because they have a history of serial killers, suicides, rapists, and most recently, the strange behavior and disappearance of Elisa Lam (the elevator girl found in the water tower). Plus Black Dahlia stayed there before she died (which would tie in a bit with the previous season 1).

My point isn't that Emma Roberts is young so her acting is excused. My point is that a young actress 90% of the time won't be able to make the best of a badly written role/script as efficiently as a more experienced actress.

Of course all those girls you guys mention are more talented than Emma. It's not even debatable.

Not to split hairs... but if you throw Jennifer Lawrence into Maggie's role she would've pulled it off with flying colors and probably would've received some sort of accolade for it.

The reality is that Emma lacks that raw and pure talent. She wasn't born with it but it's something she can get better at with practice.

With that said: Lets not blame the scripts.

The writing of episodes 11 & 12 of Freak Show was actually bad. Not just for Maggie-- for everyone. The opening scene of 12 was the only decent part
