In March 2009, it was confirmed via Spears' official newsletter that she was recording a country album due for a late 2009 release. She is currently unsigned at this time, but is meeting with labels. She reportedly recorded a cover of The Fray's You Found Me which may premiere sometime soon to launch her music career into the public eye.
Jamie Lynn is currently set to star as a lead in the upcoming sequel to the 2004 film Mean Girls titled Mean Girls 2. Although unconfirmed, this would be Jamie's first cinematic leading performance.
