iTunes kind of needs to hurry up and just make a deal with Google play or whoever to allow Android users to use iTunes on their phones. But this is nice.

Google Play Music SLAYED me when I had Android, all my songs were streamed off there. My iTunes still autouploads them to Google Play, but once I got an iPhone I realized how bad the Google Play Music app for it was, now I keep my purchases and fav albums on my phone and when I wanna listen to stuff I don't use often (like Nicki's mixtapes or ARTPOP), I still have the app to stream them

You're not thinking this through, bud. Why would Google offer this service for free? Out of the good of their hearts? No. They are gathering data on your taste in music.

No. There are third party browser extensions and mobile apps that do work with the Google Play API and have Last.fm scrobbling support, though the selection is admittedly narrow and somewhat tacky-looking, particularly on iOS.

If you have Android, the Google Music and the Last.fm apps should work together fine.

Understandable. I almost stuck with Spotify despite its $2 higher monthly cost for their all access service for that exact reason. I would have stayed if I didn't have serious doubts as to Last.fm's long-term survivability.
