“Most people do one show a year and I do three and they involve a lot of traveling. One may have to go. I don’t know which one. That is the problem, I like all of them. I can’t imagine not doing Britain’s Got Talent and I can’t imagine not doing X Factor.
But I guess America is more likely to go because I have got one year under contract. Maybe that will be the end.”
People are not responding well to Kara Dioguardi. To add her is one thing. To take off the most popular judge from the show is another. People will not like it one bit and the show will lose ratings.
From what I remember he's under contract to do the show through the 9th season (some people say 10th). Either way, I think a couple more seasons would be just about enough of American Idol and I'd be fine with him leaving, and once he does the show should end. Each season the competition loses more and more of it's steam and there seems to be less coverage of the competition and winners, so why keep pushing this show that has so far only created a few true stars and doesn't create the media buzz it once did?
Well, after eight years the show finally found their Idol in Adam Lambert. I mean, that's what the show initially set out to do, find that undiscovered Elvis, or Michael Jackson, or Madonna. It found some good singers on the way like Kelly or Carrie but an actual superstar... not until this season. His crowning would be a fitting end to the entire series.
