They couldn't have played it any better though. I have watched it 5 times already and Julianne was incredible.

There's something extremely likable about Julianne Moore. Idk what it is.

Most of them have Oscars and other accolades, so it didn't really hurt them. Julianne Moore NEEDED it.

Julianne is deserving of the accolades, but she was also "overdue". Would a different, similarly capable, actress in the same part have swept like that?

Sandra, Julia, and Nicole already won and this wasn't embraced enough as a whole to come close to a 2nd Oscar for any of them.
On the flip side, Michelle and Diane are considered on the irrelevant side so a movie that got 1 nom like this one did would've been unlikely to get them an Oscar either.

It would have taken an actress Hollywood's been wanting to give an Oscar to get an Oscar for this, like Annette Bening.

She did need it and I'm so happy so got it.

This movie was not that great. Julianne was the saving grace -- truly an incredible performance.

I don't know if all those actresses could do the character justice.

Julianne Moore is outstanding in pretty much all her films, she seemed really invested in the role too.

I kinda wish Michelle Pfeiffer accepted it, the role would have helped her career, cause God knows she needs any boost she can get.
