What? I think I'm failing to understand your post. I don't know if something in my head is not clicking with your post or I'm just not that good at understanding English anymore. Are you saying that she is trying way too hard with the statement that she put out last night after being absolutely offended as a young black girl for wearing something that is really popular in the black culture - dreads? So basically defending yourself is equal to trying too hard? Is that what you're saying? Is that what you're trying to explain? If so, then you're IGNORANT. She is trying to defend her culture, she is trying to break all of the stereotypes about black culture with this statement. And it looks like not only those 50K people who retweeted her tweet agree with her, but the whole world.
