You need to say "I have run," because run is an irregular verb. I just realized that the same error is in the thread title, though, so it's not really your fault.

One time I ran a cat over by accident, and the experience was pretty damn traumatizing. I didn't want to get out the car to check if the cat was still alive because from what I saw in the mirror, it wasn't. I thought about this **** was weeks. What if the cat wasn't actually dead, but Injured?
