Sexuality still isn't a protected class nationwide. In a majority of states, being fired based upon homosexuality is completely legal.

There are 1,400 individual rights that come with legalized marriage.

In many states, both partners in a gay couple are forbidden from adopting their children.

I have read and know that the "gay rights" issue have been whitewashed. Marriage is seen as a privilege, even for straight people. Most people that marry are well off, but the people who are living off lower wages, do not see it as important. Like I was waiting for ya'll to mention that 40 % of homeless youth are gay or the fact that their are about 20 states in the US where it is completely legal for the employer to fire an employee for being gay. Its sad to know that ya'll think marriage equality is the only issue for gays. Please take your own advice and educate yourself of the real issues.
