Wow people really like to hype up Gaga for any and everything she does. Her performance was the highlight no doubt, the highlight of an incredibly boring and tedious show meaning it wasn't all that itself. Good vocals, nothing extraordinary. On par with Pink last year.

Evidently. Like I said, Katy's performance wasn't all in itself memorable, she needed unnecessary props, the left shark and Missy are more memorable then Katy herself. Gaga relied on talent and blew people away. It will go down as one of the shows best performances.

Outside the USA, yes, more people cared about Gaga.

In terms of the amount of threads created on ATRL, Gaga is slaying Katy down. The entire first page of Celebria is filled with thread titles referencing the Queen.

I mean, it was the most searched and talked about thing last night on almost every social media outlet, it got tons of acclaim and praise from countless celebrities, news sources, tv shows, etc. So yes, it deserved the hype it got.

Not sure why some of you guys are trying so hard to downplay it.

Her stans, along with her team literally have palpitations every time she has to go on a stage out of fear that she will be tragic, which she is, MOST OF THE TIME.

Also weren't you the one telling all the Katycats to not worry about Katy's vocals at the Superbowl bcoz her team is making sure that they use the best technology and sound system to enhance her vocals & make sure that she does not sound bad?

The difference for me, is, the Superbowl is a very big event regardless of who is performing. Not to take away from Katy's performance or anything, but that's the truth. It's a huge platform and there's one act performing. Katy did a great job and delivered an entertaining performance. However, I don't think it was anything that made a big impact, blew people away, etc.

Gaga's performance wasn't guaranteed to be big. It wasn't as big of a platform as the Superbowl is, the performance could have been a nonevent like the "Everything Is Awesome" or Rita Ora performances. But she stunned and surprised people, and MADE it a huge eventful performance. The social media trends, huge search numbers and views she has been getting reflect that.
