Are you? When I look in the mirror I think I look good, but then the camera comes out and the resulting picture is tragic. Does this happen to anyone else?

With the proper lighting, and a bit of minor retouching I become a deity.

sometimes. But there are days I look like im hitting 40 years old with tragic oily skin and large pores.

It's funny. I can feel like I look ok. I can take a selfie and be satisfied; but when I go have someone else take a picture it always looks like I'm mid-sneeze or am half asleep. Never fails

Yes. I have like multiple poses and face expressions depending on the camera angle and distance so I just pose the **** out of life as soon as I spot a camera.

I hate taking pictures because I always look terrible and it reduces my confidence. The weird thing is that a friend of mine said I was photogenic and people have said similar things to me.

Because what you're seeing in the mirror is a flipped image of you, whereas in a photograph it's what you actually look like. It sucks bc I'm exactly the same.
