What he said wasn't a lie or being fake though. He was trying to get with Kim since she was trotting around LA with Paris.

And who cares about playing fair when she was literally on Twitter throwing low-blow after low-blow when Kim never even mentioned that girl? She could've just used that moment to drag Khloe, but instead, she chose to seize that moment to throw some Kim jabs in. She wanted to be messy, so people got messy right back.
