Because it would drastically increase her streaming points. IMO, it's only half true that leaving a song off Spotify makes people buy it. It certainly doesn't hold true for me. For Blank Space, I just used the MV. For Style, I just used the audio on its page at Republic Playbook. There's always a workaround for people who don't want to buy music.

i swear uptown funk is never going to leave it's still far ahead of ellie and i don't think she's strong enough to pass him and will probably get stuck at #2 just like ed did. considering also that fifty shades of grey is in theaters right now, she's getting as much exposure as she possibly could right now and even with that she still hasn't passed him, so it's pretty unlikely that she'll go much farther than she is now. ed is probably done now, even with the grammys it only passed uptown funk for a little while and i can't imagine it getting a stronger increase than that. style isn't going anywhere fast. fourfiveseconds might be a slow burner like a lot of rihanna's hits but it's still far away from the top even if it does reach it eventually. and i can't think of anything else that'll come anytime soon.
