I honestly think her parents killed her accidentally. Maybe they wanted to go for a nice meal without the kids but Madeleine was bouncing off the walls and so they gave her some sleeping pills, only to come back and find her dead.

If she has been abducted, then as cruel as it sounds I almost hope she's dead - she was 3 when she was taken, which means if she's still alive she would have spent the vast majority of her life going through whatever horrible things her abductors did to her/sold her in to. That's no way to live.

Yeah, it's a class thing as much as it is a race thing. I remember not long after the McCann case happened 3 children went missing in London and there was barely 1% of the fuss there was over Madeleine. The kids were all white, but all very working class.

I think she has been dead from the beginning and the parents were involved, regardless of it being an accident or not.

If it WAS a kidnapping - who the hell goes on holiday to a foreign country and leaves their kids sleeping alone in the room? It doesn't matter if they were just a few blocks away. It's wholly their fault.

In the documentary I watched, the dogs found cadaver scent behind the sofa in their room. The detective thought Maddie climbed the couch to get to the window, fell hitting her head and died.

The situation is very suspicious.
But we'll probably never know what happened to her.

I've not read a huge amount of specifics, but my gut feeling from what I have read is that it was an accidental death whilst they left the kids alone and the parents panicked knowing they'd lose everything for their neglect - so took care of it.

It's hard to imagine rational, civilised people doing such a thing...but I guess we'd be surprised what people would do to protect themselves. They were smart doctors, and combined with common sense...I feel they'd have an idea of what to do.

I think she died shortly after she was kidnapped. I don't think her parents were responsible, they were just idiots and portrayed themselves as such which made them look guilty. Kind of like Jon Benet's parents. I think Madeleine was taken by a child molester.

But then again, I think back to the Casey Anthony case and how believable her story could have been had she reported Caylee missing immediately and said she was snatched from her bedroom.
