I have to say it's been shutting down more often in the last couple days--WTH happened last night? It took me three tries to post one thing because two of the three times it was down. I'll try and convince my parents to donate a few bucks, and if that doesn't happen, I'll donate after I get my job.

I read this thread hundreds of time but I didn't know what to post. Sorry, I can't donate any money, I'm not rich

The point is not that you need to donate(Although I would love you forever if you did ) but people that don't donate cant complain that the site doesn't load. This site doesn't charge a fee to be part of, it runs on a small amount of ad revenue and the rest is subsidized by me. So people that are complaining about the site loading slow, or cant access it, then they are the ones that either need to donate or stop being so pissed off about it.

It seems that the our traffic has been getting heavier and heavier, during peak times this especially puts a huge load on the server. Sometimes causing the server to temporarily deny access as TC was saying. This is a safeguard so that the server doesn't crash and we loose data.

I don't mind. Threads aren't going to be gone when the site comes back. And God know I'd donate if I had any money whatsoever.
