but no you technically can be color blind. It's not based on color exactly. If you don't have enough cones (something you can quantify) of a certain color, you can be color blind.

But yes you'd be right if the requirements to be color blind meant you'd need to set a standard of color and if no one sees the same then

Color perception are based on cones in your eye. There are 6 million cones in your eye, and some cones are more respondent to certain colors than other. So if you don't have enough cones (or more) or you don't have a certain number of cones to a certain color, your view of that color will not be the same as others. It's almost certain that no one has the exact same number of cones and cone ratio as someone else, so all of the colors we see are in fact different from one another

No. Everyone will always give the same name for the same colour. The point is that maybe you see it as blue and call it blue, but I see it as what you would call red (for example). But for me, I have always called the red I see 'blue'. So basically we all call the colours the same but maybe we all see them differently.

Maybe someone else sees the sky green, but they still call it blue because that's what they know to be blue.
