I don't understand how she could be SO progressive with the EDM instrumental on HML and then serve us ARTPOP which was supposed to be an EDM masterpiece I mean don't get me wrong, I LOVE ARTPOP, but Stefani wtf happened?

I never got the hate for So Happy I could Die tbh. It's a great song lyrically and sounds very 80's. I use it more for the vibe than anything else.

Idk, for me the pure EDM songs on ARTPOP were Aura, Swine and Mary Jane Holland. I think because she was working with Zedd and Madeon we were expecting a lot more

I agree. Aura, Swine, and MJH's productions definitely hit that EDM mark. Donatella does too, but I think she overloaded it with vocals. If she let the "bridge" breakdown stay without vocals it sounds so much better. I guess we really did expect a lot more.
