Uhm, it really just depends on the type of acne it is. Your best bet is to simply go to a dermatologist so they can assess your situation and treat it accordingly. I would never trust over-the-counter washes considering most of them are just filled with chemicals that are bad for your skin.
However, there's one fash wash that a lot of dermatologists recommend called Panoxyl, it's for face and body. Check that out if you can't go to the dermatologist.

I pay a $5 co-pay to see my dermatologist whenever I need to (skin cancer runs in my family so I go whenever I feel I need something checked).

There's nothing special about having a dermatologist.
