Well right now he is still opening for Lady Antebellum with Hunter Hayes, but I'm sure he will have crossover success, even if he's barely hanging on the to "country" to his "country pop" title.
He does seem like the next big country artist tho looking at sales and how he had the best selling "country" album for like the past few months.
