It seems that everyone has a different opinion regarding this question. Does money buy happiness? Would you rather be in a career that makes you a lot of money or a career that makes you happy to go to work each day?

As for money buying emotions? No not really, it does not last. You can buy nice things but that happy feeling you get fades like all things. Money just makes some things easier and some things more difficult.

So basically career for money vs career for happiness is a pretty common discussion, but there's a but. What if you could have both? That might just make it seem like I'm avoiding the question, but it's in fact answering it. No career will only give you money and absolutely no happiness, or vice versa. And in fact believe it or not if you think about jobs past simple examples like banker vs painter or something of the sorts, there are jobs out there that can give you both. So, therefore, I think this question is a good one to consider but at the end of the day it's a little pointless to ask. You can find a balance, money and happiness are not mutually exclusive. Anyone who's searching, keep looking until you find a choice you feel satisfied with!

Yes. Money doesn't directly buy happiness but it'd give me the freedom to do what I wanted with the people I loved, which would make me happy.

Having money doesn't mean you'll be happy forever but it will probably prevent you from being even more depressed or stressed so..

tbh yes if your problems in life revolve around money. Like if you already have people that love you but you're super poor and struggling to buy food and crap obviously money will only enhance your life. People always try to say well money doesn't buy love but if you already have love in your life why not also have some money.

No but I'd be happier knowing that I'm financially secure for life and probably face fewer problems in the long run. Happiness comes and goes. Everyone has obstacles to overcome. Money won't change that.
