During Sony's presentation today at ShoWest, Sony president of worldwide distribution, Rory Bruer, mentioned that not only is Spider-Man 4 in the works for 2011, but so are a new Men in Black and a new Ghostbusters.

Bruer mentioned both of these projects somewhat in passing, right after talking about their exciting upcoming summer slate and mentioning that they had some other great movies in the works. He didn't even mention anything but the names, Men in Black and Ghostbusters, but that's enough to confirm that these are official.

I read about this yesterday. I was planning on posting it but was busy with alot yesterday.

I also didn't expect a MIB 3 and Ghostbusters 3. Also they annouced there's going to be a Toy Story 3, I'm surprised about that as well.

Toy Story 3 has been announced for a while actually.

Ghostbusters was announced months ago, but MIB is a huge surprise for me

the last I heard, Ghostbusters 3 was going to be CGI, but I don't know if that is still the case or if it's going to be live action. MIB III has been in talks ever since II came out, Tommy Lee & Will wanted to do another one, but a script was never made and the project was on hiatus I guess. Glad to hear about all 3! But Ghostbusters 3 will have a reputation to live up to.

^ It's going to be all the original characters except Rick Moranis I think, but I can't remember whether it was him or Bill Murray.... and they're supposed to get new ones too.

Oh, well that is good. I really couldn't think of anyone today that could really be re-cast in the roles.

Ghostbusters and Spiderman have been announced/in talks for awhile, but I am still excited for both. MIB is a bit more surprising, but mainly because I thought everyone hated the second one and it really didn't need a sequel to begin with IMO.
