For SNL performances, what's the typical way? Similar with David Letterman show?
SNL performances are usually pretty minimal, yeah. If She performs Style tonight, I imagine it will have a simple band setup and a few props, more like Blank Space on the Voice (but on a much smaller stage).
I love the Style Video. Maybe it appeals more to women. It highlights the emotions of a fragile relationship.
I like the references/images to other songs off the album. OOTW, This Love, Clean. WD's. It's interesting bc those songs are allegedly about her relationship w/Harry. Besides Taylor and Dominic Sherwood look Gorgeous.
I've watched it at least 50 times since its premiere.
Artistically, STYLE MV is even better than BLANK SPACE MV, but GP really need time to understand/accept it, wrecking ball is easier.

I'm heartbroken that Style is not #1 on iTunes rn But I have faith! We just need some performances!
But it already did its job very well, look at album sales in the past couple of months, especially without SIO and BS promotions, STYLE was what we talked about the most.
For me, I'm more heartbroken to see OUT OF THE WOODS' chart performance, but I'm confident it will the biggest song at 1989 world tour.
I have had this feeling for quite a while: Every song on Taylor Swift's album is special, they work in different ways, including WTNY. For me, OOTW is the SOG of 1989. I'm curious to see what's ATW of 1989, my bet is CLEAN. Another focus is that we most likely will see another OURS on 1989, 1989's bonus tracks are too good to be ignored.
Edit: When I did the comparison, I did NOT mean repeat, I meant the same importance in that category.
Edit2: The strongest category on 1989 is its lead single material, SIO, BS and BB, the other musicians would be overwhelmed if they got anyone of them on their albums. One the other hand, for Taylor, she needs to find a way to release them in order.
Taylor's vocals have improved over the years. She's not Whitney Houston, but no one is. We were just talking about this very thing at my job last week. My co-worker said Rihanna vocals has become better with age.. My boss said, I remember how awful Mary J Blige's vocals were when she first came out. Then someone else chimed in on Ariana Grande. "Idk why that girl is popular? I can't understand a word she's singing about.
If she does perform Style tonight, I hope she performs with her back to the audience while Sia does a dance routine up front. Can you imagine the immediate IMPACT that would have?!
