Honestly this SCREAMS slow news day.
When there's not much news to defend against their faves, it's typical to create threads surrounded around the best selling female artist of the past 16 years.
I bet if a new song came out by Rihanna we'd get fewer threads like this that are just to pass their time by...that said, Britney does stay on the minds of many so it's the best compliment.
Answering the question: I really don't know because Britney's career is exciting for many reasons one of which is that you just never know if she's going to give a smash or a crash. I really didn't think she'd have another WW #1 but then Scream and shout did it.
It's all about the right material because she's not at that stage of her career where people will just buy based on the name she has to serve hits to sell.
I think 3 was the main moment she essentially had no promo surrounding it and the name alone served the 1st week sales but then the song did make it all the way up to #2 months later.
I think people will be surprised with this new era.
