they had signs outside our local cinema about 50 shades being sold out, lol. the valentines release was a good move to capitalise on single girls going on an ~ironic date~ as an act of ~sisterhood~ with their ~girlfriends~ to see a film that ~focuses on female sexual pleasure~ to show how they don't need a man for valentines.
i don't see it lasting long. valentines gimmick + poor word of mouth + the fact that the main appeal of the book for many people was that it was something that could be indulged in private behind closed doors
