And in reference to what someone else said, I agree that once you've hit A-List, you never really leave. Even if Katy, Rihanna, Bey etc, never had a hit song or album again, they'd be comfortably A-List for the contributions they've already made to the industry, and the respect and pull they have as part of it.
The true "A-List" is very different to current trend artists, and is a much smaller group.
