The thing about me is that I have good ideas (or so I think at least), but sometimes struggle to transfer them into the realm of tangible things. I'm getting better at it though. For example, here's a piece I made a few weeks ago, which I was mostly happy with.
It's titled "W" and made with permanent marker and pencil on card stock. I was inspired by Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking-Glass" when making it, hence the chess board pattern. This can also be seen in it's meaning - you'll notice a faint, abstract, uppercase letter "W" (obviously for Wonderland) as the centerpiece. On the right half of the piece, the right portion of the letter "W" is above the chess board, while on the left half of it, the left portion of the letter is below it. This is meant to symbolize that Wonderland, while obviously but a figment of the imagination, is a place we've been to, can be in, and will go to again - that it's a place that's in front of us yet also behind us, leaving us as the center of it, the true wonder of the land if you will. Additionally, I made the "W" faint rather than bold on purpose to symbolize that fact that the figurative "rabbit hole" is often times right in front of us,yet we're too blind to see it.
