Discussion: Is the Katy Grammy drag an act of jealousy in reality?

So... The thing is.. yeah, we know that she hasn't one . But she has been invited to perform many times, nominated countless times and got the biggest boost after her performances of Part of Me and DH and those songs went straight to number 1. And she is always nominated in pop categories, so it's always the top competition, see Adele. She doesn't have Hip Hop or R and B on her side like Bey for example. And in the end she headlined SuperBowl, has been ruling the charts, has had the biggest hits in the last few years, massive tour (Finally about to see her live). So do you think the Grammy drag is just a cheap drag the haters have invented cuz she has achieved everything else. And the thing is that many legends don't have any Grammy at all.

Yes. To relate, it's kinda like Rihanna's haters repeating that same old platitudinous "lol no #1 album" jab before Unapologetic, as if it somehow canceled out her icon status and countless achievements.

Most other pop girls have many GRAMMYs from categories that aren't even pop. Katy starting in pop and remaining in pop just hurt her chances because the pop category is extremely hard to win unless you make ballads like Sam Smith or Adele where they pick you thinking you'll be a viewer favorite

Its just one thing Katy does not have but what they fail to see is that Katy has many things their fav does not

I absolutely agree with you. Like their only card is the Grammys card. She's been nominated every year since the beginning of her career, she has performed 5 times, she's up for the biggest and most competitive awards of the night. Of course she will win one, the 'xD haters and trolls' should stop, it's getting embarassing

Yes.

Katy deserves at least one, she just always gets nominated in catagories with more deserving nominees.

it's just stating the fact that after having so many worldwide hit singles, Smash albums she still can't convince the academy to award her with a Grammy, which is sad since she probably peaked with her last era, but who knows, until she does win one, anyone can and will probably still bring up the fact that even with major commercial success she can't get a grammy.

At the end of the day, her lack of Grammys won't stop her from being the mega superstar that she is today, and it won't erase any impact that she's left thus far.

I fail to see what kind of impact her GP friendly bubble pop songs/albums have made.

Every pop girl has (at least) one area that they get dragged for. Whether it's for not having the hits, sales, relevance, popularity, talent or acclaim. Nobody escapes.
