No, adoption is not less popular in the black community. There are plenty of black people raising other family member's kids. Just because they might not be raising kids, with no biological ties, at the rates that whites do, does not mean that blacks do not adopt.
Inherently, even though it's none of my business, I would have a real problem with an affluent black family or would be black parent purposely shopping for a white baby. Why would you do that if you're affluent, black and looking to adopt a random child, when you know of the glut of black children who need homes?
