Beyonce has indeed been the target of finger-wagging and shame-naming recently — from both Republican presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee and Fox pundit Bill O’Reilly, who have repeatedly criticized her as a poor role model because of the sexual content of her songs and performances. They’ve hauled out the statistic that 72% of black children are born out of wedlock (versus 29% for whites and 53% for Latinos).

The only person who Beyonce needs to be a role model too is Blue Ivy Carter. It's not her fault if Partition inspired your child to have unprotected car sex in the parking lot of a Crackel Barrel. That sounds like a personal problem to me.

Beyonce is the biggest artist male or female in the States culturally speaking. Her political relevance only serves to push that further. The Obama's love her yet Bill O'Rielly and Mr. Huckabee seem so anti-Beyonce sometimes it's cringey. She doesn't OWE **** to any of the politicians she's living her life, just like she should.

The problem isn't necessarily Beyoncé's prescence in the political world, it's the inherited racism, especially when they try to correlate the fact that sensual entertainment by a black female artist results in unwed pregnancies.

they shouldn't worry about her sexual songs/performances, they should worry about her performing privately for Gaddafi and about her supporting the abuse of animals
