Natalie Prass - Natalie Prass (brilliant songwriting, beautiful vocals, and really unique influences - the songs are all incredibly magical, its one of the best debuts ever and my current AOTY).
Sleater-Kinney - EVERYTHING, but start with The Woods (they're pioneers, legends even, and I'd describe them as a blend of punk/alternative/rock, its really high-energy but also great lyrically and sonically).
Laura Marling - Once I Was An Eagle (underrated! Great folksy rock, its very accessible but still really high quality. Brilliant songwriting again and a good mix of variety and unification).
Laura Mvula - Sing To The Moon (I think she's really underrated. Her voice is really interesting, nice touch of soul and her music is really cool).

There are tons and tons of other albums but these are some of my recent favourites. EVERYONE should listen to Natalie Prass, I think she is fairly universal and I think no matter what you listen to there is something on that album that will appeal to you. Definitely check her out and feel free to let me know what you think!
