I've thought about this, and a part of me feels like White's adopting minority children is somewhat self-interest motivated. It's like "here's this White person saving these [African/Asian/Hispanic/etc] children from hardship". But if a minority adopted a White baby, ppl would find it awkward because Whites don't need "saving".

I think adoption (in general) is such a beautiful thing, because I feel like parents learn how to love without boundaries.

Do it!! Adopting and supporting a kid is an amazing thing regardless of race.

I wish Beyonce would adopt me.

Mixed feelings. I just hope/pray that the parents are aware of their child's identity and knowledgeable about how to raise them so they aren't confused or hurting. If you're raising a black baby, they need to have black people in their lives/you need to be prepared to answer difficult questions about race/etc.

Overall I think it's strange to adopt a baby of another race like unless you had some incredible bond at your local orphanage, you went out of your way to get a baby different race like, why??? I can't imagine adopting a non-black baby so I don't know how these people do it. I guess if you do international charity work that somewhat makes sense, but that's not how/why most people adopt
