RACIST UNDERTONES, OH MY GOD.
Sweetie, have you listened to that Bobby Schmurda song? It's about selling drugs, shooting at cops, and busting thugs out of prison. Please tell me how it's racist to refer to a song with that subject matter as "ghetto." If that's not ghetto, I'd love to know what is. It's not because he's Black, but because of what he's making music about. Get a grip.
And did I lie? People here make assumptions about pop radio all of the time, in that it just plays easy-to-listen-to generic pop and dance music. Urban radio does the same thing, but with R&B and Hip-Hop.
7/11 perfectly caters to what normally gets played on those stations, yet it still isn't Gold after nearly 3 months despite being #1 on that airplay format and having a viral video to accompany it. If this is the new criteria for "slaying," then we shouldn't bother having standards anymore.
