Pokémon have a lot of gay fans, so do you feel like there is a certain stigma related to playing Pokémon after a certain age? Do ppl look down on you for enjoying a videogame, intended for children? At gamestop events, did the cashier give you a funny look, when you asked for a Diancie code?
When I went to GameStop events I felt odd but it's easy to get event Pokemon secretly over the air. But I've been playing Pokemon since 1999 and it's no different than Mario or Zelda. I mean a lot of people have grown up with the franchise. I think the "embarrassment" comes from the childish nature they've kept the anime/games in. The series has never really gone adult or teenage and it's marketed towards kids like sugar filled suckers shaped like Spongebob.
Girls, you shouldn't let the employees at GAME STOP of all places make you feel ashamed. Those guys always have creepy neckbeards, 3-week-old BO, and crippling social deficiencies.

Thank you, sis. Except the one at my Gamestop I frequent. He could get it.
