Those arent writers or producers. Those are sound engineers, that means people who were recording his music while he was playing. Technical personels. There were 30+ people doing the same for Beyonce and that number is not including writers and producers.
Beck is the sole writer, composer and producer of his album.
And the fact that he did all the creative work alone doesnt mean his album is better, no. But he managed to create a brilliant album alone what is quite remarkable and shows his artistry very well, dont you think?
Yes, Morning Phase is not even in the top 5 of his albums, yet its still one of the best albums released last year. And that says a lot about Beck as an artist. Stop attacking him and questioning his artistry. He is effin talented and innovative. I cant care less about the Grammys, Im just happy that Beck got the recognition he deserves for once, thats all.
Maybe the fact that most of the greatest, game changing albums never won AOTY (including Becks Odelay) will make you feel better, dear Hive. You can count the legendary albums in the greatest of all time lists (like the Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time list) that won AOTY on the fingers of one hand. Remind yourself of this when you will be all cocky while trying to shade someone using the Grammys receipts next time, k
