Annie Lennox is like the biggest celebrity feminist there is and she used to have long blonde hair and blue yes and was considering drop dead beautiful. She keeps her hair short and opted for a more androgynous look because she was tired of getting "blonde, blue eyed, white beauty" privilege and wanted people to treat her normally and get rid of the fakes who just wanted to associate with her because she was beautiful.
I think the bit about privilege with looks is semi-true though. Women [and any minorities] who are in comfortable positions don't care for rights unless they're really conscious, progressive types like Annie Lennox.
