OMFG! sales and charts are not everything, almost all members here are just thinking about sales then sales then sales!! the most important thing is how pure are the vocals and music. There are alot of good ar**** who are not identified by public, while there are alot of artists who are CHART TOPPERS but singing ***** all the time! it's a matter of luck, and sometimes a matter of time, just like what happened to Lady GaGa.
GaGa spent more than six months trying to get over the US market and now she is like the new Pop Diva of the states, while Katy Perry, for e.g. spent short time to get her first number-one single. Another example of this, the British star Amy Winehouse, who knew her album
Frank before
Back to Black era? ALMOST no one, but when
Back to Black was released, she became UKs best selling artist of 2007. Some people now is calling Keri a flop comparing her to Britney or Beyonce who got their success in the first year of their career.
Finally, I don't really care about sales and charts, I just enjoy In A Perfect World... because it matches my taste. BEING a flop won't make me hate the album, although she is not really a flop, she sold 93K. I'm not saying that I am against charts, I enjoy them too, I check them every week, but I hate how some people are treating the non-successful artists like animals just because a chart
