She flashes a mischievous look as “I Put a Spell on You” begins, before going on to give full-body performance with the commitment of a method actor gunning for an Oscar: shimmying, pointing, play air harmonica. Playful, fearsome, utterly unique.
... it is remarkable in comparison to the rest of the Grammys, where so many other performers underachieved by performing ballads with deadening faux-dignity.
She MUDERED that. Best performance of the night, hands down.

Annie is a model for all the pop girls, really. She has aged so gracefully both physically and vocally. Too many singers try to act like their voices haven't changed at all over the years, but Annie uses her current voice to her benefit.
At last, the performance I have been waiting to check out. Hozier on his own was great as always, but when Annie came in, it was even better. When she took over, I was like "Damn, she got that soul and knows to handle stage presence very well and makes basically, all the younger ones esp. the pop stars look like crap and amateurish." She deserves her praise!
