That's a very disrespectful perception. Might as well act like a star athlete, for example, owes absolutely nothing to the not as successful parents that raised and nurtured them so that they could become great.
Racist views like yours are among the problems in this world. That outlook implies that even if a genius of another race is born, they don't deserve a chance simply because of how they look. I don't know what they think in the Philippines, but such blatant racism (and self hate) is idiotic. Also there are many investors of other races who simply aren't as glorified.

Also don't forget pretty much all the wars have been because of white men who wanted to power. And that the racism that continues today, that has infiltrated every other ethnicity (light skin is the right skin) is from them as well.
If I knew where I came from I wouldn't act entitled or think I knew about an experience of a POC because I never could. And I would make sure to be empathetic and understanding to the feelings of others who are still dealing with the repercussions of my ignorant ancestors.
But that's just me.

Everything aside, I love how this poster clearly has absolutely no understanding of history and yet acts like they do

Some of you are literally too dumb to function. Like, if you can't understand that even without personally owning slaves, you still benefit from a system that basically said "white = right, everyone else is worth subjugating (or literally subhuman)", and many of our LIVING GRANDPARENTS were alive when blacks (or negroes / ******s, as we were called at the time) legally couldn't use the same facilities as white people, I don't know what to tell you...
I think some of ya'll really believe when MLK freed the slaves* they went to go live in white picket fence houses just like their white neighbors, and the only ones who didn't were lazy and chose to live in the hood. In reality, slavery was pretty much abruptly ended with the former slaves being released without a dime to their names, unable to own property, and blacks in the aftermath worked as sharecroppers (basically still slaves, minus the beatings for the most part), or other extremely low-wage labor with low/non existent job security for decades after emancipation. Not to mention having to fear for their life since they weren't seen as equal in the legal system (they were routinely murdered with the killer walking free, again, for decades). The effects of this (basically being thrown into the wild with nothing, and being LUCKY to create a family living in poverty in the ghetto) are STILL being felt today. And btw, this is just purely economic, not even touching on negative perceptions of blacks in media -- from them being demonized for nearly every aspect of the culture that arose out of poverty post-emancipation, down to their features (skin, nose, lips, hair, ass) being ridiculed in a mainstream form of entertainment for whites, and still being seen as undesirable today.
If you don't see how your heritage allows you to benefit from privilege while others' puts them at a disadvantage, you're either extremely uneducated, willfully ignorant, or simply racist
* obviously being tongue and cheek before some idiot thinks I was serious about the MLK thing.
edit: so in conclusion, no white people shouldn't be blamed for their ancestors owning slaves, the person who said that sounds like a complete airhead. But they SHOULD be aware of their privilege; whether they choose to acknowledge it and do their best not to contribute to the institutionalized racism from which they benefit, or whether they cover their ears and go "lalala, every problem other races face is because of black culture/x/y/z" is up to them. People in the latter group are the ones many POC including myself take issue with.

By being here for major technological innovations then you're actually already here for the basic inventions like the abacus. Think about that, if you can think.

stop painting yourself as a victim in a system designed for you to thrive
what are you trying to achieve?
you are not marginalized or descriminated against
get over yourself
stop deflecting from actual, useful discussions with this bs
it honestly is disgusting
also, low-key using eugenics as an argument in any discussion in 2015? really?

Did I seriously read the phrase White Asian to refer to light skinned Asians in this thread?
Is someone seriously arguing that people with paler skins are more intelligent as a whole?

Should ALL of today's white people be classified as racist due to something that happened a long time ago?
No.I'm not saying white people need to pay me or anyone because of something many years ago, BUT I'm not gonna sugarcoat and say that some/many aren't ignorant or even racist; and some (Not all) of it is due to residual racism that has showed its ugly face from the past.
