Stay With Me is deserving of the award. Chandelier could have won too. I don't think he was robbed, it was a toss-up.

The songwriters for Stay With Me took an old Tom Petty hit, slowed it down, and put it over a piano. Then they wrote a song about unrequited love. So original.

Meanwhile, Take Me To Church tied together themes such as the hypocrisy of religious doctrines and the humanity of sexual desire and love. To top it off, it had a meaningful, explicit video inspired by the homophobic attitudes of certain groups in Russia. It was infinitely more original than Stay With Me, and it is certainly an anomaly on pop radio.

Sam deserved nothing tbh. Stay With Me and its parent album are utterly banal -- an obvious ploy to replicate Adele's success.

I hope he gets something at the AMA's. He is top talented and amazing to be underrated. Same goes for Sara Bareilles.

It is a very simple album. I knew that Sam had Record of the Year in the bag, but I think that both Taylor and Sia were more deserving of it.

That doesn't take from the fact Stay With Me is a very accessible song and written well, hence why it won. Take Me To Church is great too, but so is Chandelier.

Which as I said before, it was a toss-up between the 3 songs. Any of them could have won. No one was robbed or more deserving of the other. It's all on the whim of the committee.

TMTC is leagues above the other noms in terms of lyrical content. The Grammys were a mess yesterday.

Sadly I didn't even contemplate this snub due to the other ones (AOTY).
