I think with everything so connected it will be hard for anyone to become an icon like Marilyn did. Part of her appeal is the mystery attached to her. But it is really a time thing. We won't know until we have perspective beyond who we stan for in this moment.

Why not? Neither of them are particularly talented, but both capitalized on the success that they found and used it to become strong women in the entertainment field. They are both sexy business moguls above everything else, and their marketing is genius. Girls will look up to the way Kim was able to own her sexuality and all her humanitarian acts.
