AOTY... I mean whatever at this point, countless cases can be made in both directions, but losing Urban Contemporary Album to ****ing 'G I R L'??????

I don't / you can't make me understand. Bey could have 30 thousand Grammys and I'd stop bragging about them as of now tbh. The **** don't make sense. They had the power to rectify / fix so many things / promote a better artistry landscape but instead I feel like they chose the 'reverse-credibility' route, by giving the dark horse the album the award instead of rightfully bestowing the biggest, mainstream album of the year with the honor. The Grammy committee probably feels like by giving Beck the award, they're making the Grammys 'authentic' or whatever again.

people acting like this is some major loss to bey... like... i'm sure she won't be losing any sleep over it. that being said, i don't care for beck, but good for him. it would've been nice and i would have preferred for bey to win AOTY, but it's not like i pay the grammys much mind anyway.

As for the Urban Contemporary Album loss, Columbia was behind this. They lobbyed hard for Pharrell to win because I assume that they are upset with her. And I am sure they did not campaign for her to win Urban Contemporary or Album of the Year. She needs to leave their ass.

To be fair, she didn't either. She barely promoted that album. Had she done a bigger promo campaign, the singles and album would have been bigger and possibly given her a better chance. I mean Pharrell won just because of Happy, no one gives a **** about that album.

To me, what encompasses Album of the Year is critical acclaim, impact and to certain extent (for popular artists) sales. Beyoncé had everyone talking from CNN to FOX News. She had debates among feminists, colleges etc. That is what Album of the Year is about. Stop with the no promotion ****. And she did promote a bit - the VMA medley, hell the President of the GRAMMYs attended. They were well aware of the impact of BEYONCÉ.

And if we look at it, who are the GRAMMY voters? They work in the industry and some work for labels. SONY probably has a lot of voters and the did not rally around Beyoncé, they voted for Pharrell.

Don't tell me to stop. What you consider AOTY to be about probably doesn't even come to anyone's mind when voting, as fans we see the impact, but do the voters see all of those things you mentioned. I truly believe that a lot of the voting is done like that dumb EW article like hearing a song and then giving that artist the album vote, see Pharrell.

A joint album would word if Jay actually applied some more effort into his bars. If anything, I'd say we'd get a joint album before B6 but who knows.

No, but Detail said on the red carpet they had a project coming in 2015 and when they asked what he said ".....well.... you know when you think of bey and jay you think album..." but it was like he didn't want to say because he knows he'll get in trouble
