Beck was the dark horse in this category. Beyonce seemed like the frontrunner but even Pharell beat her in the Best Urban Contemporary album category. Wow.

I'm pretty sure some votes were split between the remaining 4 contestants to have Beck win the album. It's a pretty safe choice considering this is the grammys..there could have been a lot of variables as to why Beck won and the others didn't.

I'm just curious, Beck wrote and composed all of "Morning Phase" on his own and plays an upwards amount of 14 instruments. His album also scored an 81/100 based off of 40 reviews on MetaCritic..

Beyoncé received massive acclaim for her project, but needed anywhere between two to seven other writers and producers per song.

I know it's upsetting but, how can people in here say Beyoncé was the one who deserved it most and that Beck needs to respect her artistry when quite frankly he deserved it just as much as her?
