Cute, my opinion was about transformation aspect, not the series, and yes TOEI did it wrong, with animation part, but Crystal storyline is full of flaws because manga was full of flaws.
Older Sailor Moon was so much better, that not even debatable but not because Usagi had different transformations

At least that stupid, tacky, cringe-worthy thing that is senshi x shitennou never happened in the manga. And the the manga also didn't censor the violent scene like senshi kill shitennou, or Venus stabs Beryl

Of course the 7 transformations of Sailor Moon was the best part of the series.. I mean, I always died when she got a new one ... the music, the new power, Usagi transformations was almost a 50 % of the series..
I really liked the new episode, the tone was darker, the animation was good. Usagi had some comic relif and new attack. I have to say i am dissapointed in voice actor of Wiseman thought, i expected more but his apperiance is flawless.
So now every episode one senshi will be kidnapped or what, wow Crystal sucks at character development if you are not Usagi
And Usagi for the first time actually killed a villan
I think this arc is off to a good start. Hopefully it doesn't end weak like the first arc did. So long as they keep things moving, I will be satisfied. I enjoyed that this episode had more interaction between the girls displaying their friendship. It was a happy medium between normal life and being heroes. Also, Usagi wasn't as whiny and dependent which was a huge problem previously. Hopefully that stays.
Black Moon really is where things start moving. Dark Kingdom on manga was as bad as the adaptation.
I think this new arc is really promising, the animation is slowly getting better and thank lord they are not watering down with the villains deaths.
And can we talk about how flawless Burning Mandala and Shine Aqua Illusion looks?
This week's episode was the stronger episode in the series so far. Whoever drew all the close ups of the Black Moon Clan scenes deserves and award. I hope this is a good sign of things to come!
Moon princess halation is so choppy, just like her last Attack. They need to add more frames to make the animation smoother when she spins. Also add more CGI sparkles and ****.
I need to catch up in the series! I have all the episodes downloaded but never watched past episode 3. The clips look good! R was one of my fave seasons.
