The only reason I can come up with Sledgehammer is that it's getting old really quick - at least for me
But yeah you're right, it will take a while for radio to show the teen idols some love. remember how even One Direction didn't get that much airplay at first? it's even worse with female artists like Demi and Selena, and we're talking about a girlgroup here so it's even harder

Demi and Selena had delayed starts. Probably two albums in before they started hitting it mainstream, but 5H does not have that luxury. Their names are not attached to Disney shows. Ariana Grande's first album moved quickly and I'm not understanding why this one hasn't yet. They've produced a mature album, with good ratings and radio-friendly/produced singles.

Ariana first album tanked on airplay. She sexed it up a lot in My Everything and that's why she gained so much more success

In all of seriousness, Sledgehammer is hardly something the radio will eat up so much. The video is not helping at all too. I'm actually glad it made it this far. Remember, they are still a new act, and this era is the stepping stone to much bigger success in the future. Sure, it seems weak if you compare it to other artists, but looking back at their career, you can see how much they have grown in term of success

Sledgehammer is just their SECOND single that got proper airplay (cuz BO$$ was blacklisted). I can see the next single is a much bigger hit than this already. The radio has just warmed up to them.

It's really sad how they are able to sell singles decently but radio still won't play more meanwhile sometimes they ***** songs that aren't even top 50

Yeah the fact that their singles sell this well without radio.. imagine how much they would actually sell with radio support.

they have the power of making it big.
they just need the right label support and correct single choice

So...we're looking at no chance of re-peaking, possibly one more week in the Top 50 and then we cross our fingers that it sits strong in the 51-100 range for another 9 weeks to end a successful chart run???
