If what I'm trying to get across could be interpreted as rude when that isn't my intention, then yes I sugarcoat. Other than that, Idgaf I tell it like it is.

Depends on who it is. If the person is someone I like I sugarcoat it. If its someone I don't like, I'm blunt.

I generally prefer directness, both being blunt and people being blunt to me, but there is a time and place for tact and "sugarcoating".

IMO, people who take pride in being overly straightforward no matter the situation aren't emotionally mature or don't have enough social experience tbh.

This too. There's a time and place for everything. If you're in a very public place and your friends breath stinks, you hand them a mint privately and say it with your eyes that they should use it.
