Not the kidnapping part but the "teach you a lesson on stranger danger" lol. I started using a computer at a fairly young age (late elementary school) and my dad noticed that I had an email at some point in middle school (for games, duh)
He emailed me something along the lines of "oh hey, i watch you sometimes, you're so nice, we should be friends, you live around ****, right?" with my street address My ~11 year old ass was like???? who is this. I went to school and was so paranoid the entire day.
I ended up breaking down and crying that night when my dad came back from work and told him that some rando was watching me and that we should call the police ( I almost called them myself kii). Then he non-chalantly told me he sent it as a test and that I did the right thing by telling. He wanted to make sure I was using the internet safely too.
