What is your favorite style of art or art movement? I love art history but to be honest I do not care much for religious art.
The older stuff that I like is Goya. He was Tim Burton before it was cool. The Dutch Baroque is also pretty good.
Then I love the Impressionism but I prefer the urban themes than the nature themes that Monet abused. I love Manet and Degas, specially Degas the way he captured female sensuality and gracefulness in his paintings.
Everything after impressionism is pretty much amazing but I like three other styles: cubism (by Braques and Picasso), Duchamp's mocking of art (which is controversially not called art) and all kinds of expressionism (Abstract and German Expressionism are so appealing to me, Rothko, Pollock).
