If a film is going to gross an extra $200 million by having Scarlett Johansson as the lead, then the casting directors and studio executives are going to cast Scarlett Johansson as the lead. Do you really think multi-millionaires living in L.A's most luxurious mansions are going to care that this was a hot topic on the internet one afternoon in early February 2015? No. Do you think they care that we create an equal representation of races in the media? No. Do you think they care that we start teaching younger generations about how each race has beautiful people, instead of glorifying caucasian features? No. They care about buying a new boat. Or a family holiday to Venice or the Maldives. Or buying an investment property in Manhattan.
